Thanks, Mike.
I tried to ping the BSMS. It is not working. I tried the ‘ha’ from command
line from Topspin, it isn’t finding. I removed the keyboard, and tried.
Nothing Help. I will try again tomorrow removing the keyboard from ELCB.
Let you know if successful.
Regards
Raj

Hi Raj,
There are a couple of things you might try. I would use the ha command in
topspin and see if you can access the BSMS service webpage. Or even open a
terminal/command prompt and just try pinging 149.236.99.20 or 149.236.99.21.
If you can communicate with the ELCB you might be able to either reset it
or to find out what the problem is.
And this could also be related to a problem with the keyboard. I would suggest
powering off the BSMS rack, disconnecting the keyboard cable from the ELCB, and
powering back up to see if it will boot up. As much as people love these
keyboards, they do get old after a while and can fail.
Cheers,
Mike

Hello Members
We have Oxford 400 MHz with Bruker Avance II console started giving
Error 70 - BSMS timeout connecting error. A month ago, it was having this
issue and left it for connecting. For our surprise, it automatically connected
and solved the error. Now it started again and not connecting at all. I can
see the LED red indications in all the three Boards (SLCB/2, GAB, SCB20) of
BSMS/2 as seen in the photos attached. I tried removing these boards and
re-seated them. Nothing helped. I looked the LEDs in the Back of BSMS, all
solid green. I checked the voltage selector (correct voltage selected). The
same error happened in 2022 and ended up changing ELCB board as Bruker
recommended. There was some power outages happened before the error pop-ups.
However, we have UPS to control the voltage and restart. So, there was no
expectation of impact of power surges.
The error RED in SGU400 is normal and it will be cleared once the power cycle
was finished.
The RED error in SLCB/2, GAB, SCB20 are showing because of error 70: BSMS
not connecting....
I couldn't do the power cycle to get into 'ii' with Topspin, because of the
BSMS error.
Looking for your expert advice on this issue - what further I can check up
to diagnose the problem.
With warm regards
