Hello,

sorry, I selected the wrong reply option for my last email. But I have a
question to the group. I have currently problems with both errors: "15 SHIM
SYSTEM NOT EMPTY” and „sample detect at magnet failed“
and I try to figure out what is going on. Therefore I have following questions:

1) In Bruker Utilities ->Test Tools ->rstest->BSMS->position is this the
position in the BST? Is 0 no sample, 1 sample up and 2 sample down? If this
is not the position of the sample in the BST, where can I access the values
of the different sensors in the BST?

2) How many sensors are in the BST? One optical sensor down in the BST to
detect rotation and that the sample is down and another sensor at the up position
on the other side of a diode? I can see at the upper part also a hole from which
I cannot determine the function. Is there another sensor (see picture of upper sensor)?

war die Fehlermeldung wirklich bei euch "15 SHIM SYSTEM NOT EMPTY”
oder „sample detect at magnet failed“?
Meiner Meinung nach müsste "15 SHIM SYSTEM NOT EMPTY” ein Fehler
des sample down sensors sein und „sample detect at magnet failed “
ein Fehler des Sample Up sensors.

Hi Pedro,  we do have that error from time to time, but if you take a
cotton swab and clean the sensor in the upper shim stack (the sample up
sensor) with ethanol it should go away.
