I think Rolf Kyburz discussed this subject a year ago in the VNMR
Newsletter, possibly January 2000. The workaround to your situation was to
mount the CDROM with a non-default option. You may wish to talk to Rolf
Kyburz (rolf.kyburz_at_varianinc.com) or search in VNMR Newsletter archive.
