One quick thought - the filename of the attachment suggests you have a BSVT
as opposed to the older BVT. Presumably you then also have a VTA-TC2T on
the floor near the probe. The two TC-2T cables are identical but have
different circuits and it's not unheard of for one to go bad. I would try
swapping the channel 1 cable at the probe for the channel 2 cable, then
quit and restart edte and see if it behaves. Having said that, I don't
think I've seen a channel fail with such a large overtemp error but it's
worth trying.
