Dear all,
we have currently a problem with the VT unit of our Bruker 400 Avance II
HD Nanobay NMR spectrometer. Enclosed you can find a brief summary with
some figures documenting the problem.
The heater cannot be switched on in the EDTE window (error message:
‘Parameter VTC_CMD_STAT parameter not writable’). Channel 1 reports:
‘Regulator inoperative’. The probe gas is also off and cannot be
switched on. There appears to be no connection to the probe.
The log file history of the EDTE window shows that there was recently an
overheating in the safety sensor: ‘1561.4 K is above limit of 673.0K on
Ch1.’
We then performed a VT selftest using the BSMS Service Tool. It says
‘Active Ch1 heater TC_2T inoperative. Load resistance too high: 722.32
ohms.’
We suspect that the heater in the probe or the TC_T2 controller is
defective. To test this, we would like to measure the heating plug. What
values can be expected here? We have a 7-pin plug .
What else could we try? Does anyone have any ideas?
Best wishes
Birgit Claasen
