Thanks Bert, David and Baa for the suggestions. I have a 400MR, but it is c=
urrently fit with a OneProbe that is not dual tuned for 1H-19F. I will lik=
ely tie the Channel 1 and 2 (on the VNMRS) together with a combiner/splitte=
r. This seems to be the lowest energy solution since it requires just a sma=
ll hardware change. It's not a core magnet so I don't want to make too many=
changes. They will be happy if it works since they do a lot of fluorine ch=
emistry.

Hi David,
you could try to get the sample used in fidlib/mollib ;-)
(a chemist told me I may not have gotten the molecule's name fully correct… ;-)
That said, one quick related note: While I never measured this, apparently
in DD2 consoles the short bridging cable which enables these kinds of experiments
H{F}, F{H}, FH-HOESY & FH-HETCOR on a single-highband channel actually may
introduce a little bit of extra noise (not sure on which kinds of experiments -
maybe someone here did this kind of study?). So some users (or even Varian
engineers from what I heard) did remove this cable because of that. It is,
however, mandatory to have if you want to run these one-channel H-F experiments.
So in case you try to run them on a DD2 and they don't work - check whether the
bridge cable is actually present. Should go from Ch2 XMTR Aux Out to Ch1 XMTR Aux In.
Cheers
Bert

this is a well-timed threat, to piggy-back on this, private replies fine to
spare people's inboxes, anybody recommend a favorite setup sample for the
HF HOESY? -David
