[AMMRL] Use of a shunt valve in an NMR laboratory / any experiences?

Dear spinlanders,

I am in the unfortunate situation to see forward to receiving a shunt drainage
implant for CSF liquid to manage a hydrocephalus condition. After some initial
research, I noticed that the shunt valves which my surgeon suggests to use
(Miethke M-Blue) are sensitive to electromagnetic fields. It seems that
exposition to more than 3 T field strength is not recommended.

Therefore my question: Does anyone have experience with the use of a CSF shunt
valve in an NMR laboratory?

Any feedback I would be highly appreciated!

Cheers,
Nils
