Hi Niels,

but 3 T is a lot! In a similar case with an implant (not a shunt valve)
limited to 3 T static field, I found out that the only
place where one could get into such a strong field
is directly under our unshielded 900 MHz magnet (e.g. when swapping probes).

Which sort of magnets do you have in the lab? I did a few measurements with
our Hall probe around our (also unshielded) 500:
it's impossible to reach 1 T (except at the bottom
of the magnet when no probe is inside). With all our other (shielded) NMR
magnets (standard bore and wide bore) the exposure
situation should be similar, i.e., < 1 T.
