Hello David,
I think George has touched on a possible cause of your problem.
In addition to a pop-up window being reduced in size (which we have
seen), we have seen other instances where the pop-up window is behind
another window. Sometimes you can sequentially minimize windows until
suddenly you see that pop-up window appear. Other times, the pop-up
window minimizes along with the parent window (that is especially
annoying). If the hidden pop-up window appears, you can click "OK" to
close the window. Often additional pop-up windows will appear. Click
"OK" for all of the windows, and then eventually you will gain control
of IconNMR (and TopSpin) again.
I have not found a root cause of why pop-up windows appear in the
"background" behind other windows. And I don't know why some systems
are more prone to it happening than others.
We haven't seen this for a while, so maybe there is a setting somewhere
that we selected or deselected, and the problem seems to have gone away.
The next time this happens, take a moment to look for the "hidden"
pop-up window(s).
Good luck,
Bob.
