Hi,

(Just regarding your Varian systems/probes) - Varian VT controllers also let
you set a max. temp value on a hardware basis (via arrow keys menu on the VT
controller- last item in the list of parameters IIRC).
For curiosity, in which way did you “lose” those probes? Insert broken or something?
Depending on the defect it may be possible to repair them.
