Hi Mike,
If it is a new iProbe, Bruker had a bad batch of ATM units in the last 6-9
months, so you might ask them to replace the ATM unit on the probe.
If the probe is on an older system, Bruker has told us that the ATM controller
is only moderately compatible with versions of software before 4.5.0; we are
running 4.0.7 with a new BBFO iProbe, and need to do a daily ‘atma reset’
to keep the motor error from cropping up on an automation system. In our case,
the problem is on the broadband side, and it only fails after 50-75 retunings,
so you may be dealing with a hardware issue.
Best,
Walt
