Dear everyone,
Thank you all a lot for your quick replies!
We managed to solve the problem. A Bruker technician helped remotely to
pin down the problem, and it indeed refers to the arm and pin that
extend outward from the SampleXpress over the bore when samples are
inserted/ejected to/from the cassette with the two small mechanical
switches at either end of the "sample release" arm's travel (Thank you
Michael, you guessed correctly ad described it perfectly!). Together
with a proper manual which we got from Bruker we could solve the problem
by cleaning and manually pushing/activating these sensors. Probably over
time they got a bit rusty/dusty/worn out.
All the best from Munich and have a nice weekend!
Julian
