You are correct! I can use the 1H-19F sequences and disregard the chan2 lab=
el. I was able to acquire 19F with 1H decoupling after adjusting the 1H dec=
oupling power slightly. I could also get a 1H spectrum with 19F decoupling =
if I used a WALTZ decoupling centered on the 19F nuclei frequency, but the =
WURST default sequence was ineffective.
Any insights as to anything special that needs to be done to make the WURST=
decoupling work would be helpful. Is that something that has to be added t=
o the probe file for the sequence powers to calculate correctly?

the amplifier high band channel. The VNMRS console has an internal splitter/combiner
which can route PTS channels 1 and 2 towards a single amplifier high band channel.
If the probe you use has a single coil/RF connector for 1H and 19F, which is tuned
for both frequencies, your experiment should run fine. The VNMRS knows it doesn't
have a second high band channel and will route all 1H and 19F pulses through Amp 1
Channel 1 (high band), even when running 2D 1H/19F experiments.
In this case, there is a difference in PTS channels and amplifier channels. PTS will
use channel 1 and 2, the amplifier will only use channel 1 (high band).
