so far we have migrated a few of our AV III  / III HD spectrometers from Centos to Alma9. Initially we were running Topspin3.5pl7, but have then upgraded to 3.7.0
and now to 3.8.0 without any problems. We more or less skipped 3.6, because we had sticked to 3.5pl7 for longer (on Centos) and then directly went to the newer ones.
They (both 3.7 and 3.8) seem pretty stable.

  1. Desktop icons in AlmaLinux 9
    The default Desktop environment (Standard, X11 display server) in AlmaLinux 9 as configured by Bruker does not display desktop icons.
    Has anyone successfully used XFCE or KDE as the desktop environment for operating the NMR spectrometer?

we are using Gnome as a standard, and we have icons for e.g. certain directories on the desktop.
Not for Topspin itself, since it is available from the applications menu

  1. IBS compatibility with TopSpin 3.7
    I previously attempted to use IBS with TopSpin 3.7 but was unable to get it working.
    Has anyone successfully configured IBS with TopSpin 3.7, and if so, are there any special configuration steps or recommendations?


no experience with "IBS" (and not sure what it means)
