Hi all,
We have had a recent Windows 10 —> 11 update that has broken a driver. A
quick google indicates that this is an old issue that we have just discovered.
The driver is the iqvw64e.sys and it appears to have something to do with
networking.
I am just wondering if anyone knows if this will affect Topspin/IconNMR. We
have recently had some weird freezes of IconNMR where the queue is still
running but the interface won’t let us enter in any new experiments and does
not respond to clicks either. Our solution has been to exit Topspin and
restart IconNMR. We usually let the queue finish off its work before doing
so.
I was wondering if anybody had insight as to whether this driver could be the
problem, and if there is a workaround if it is indeed the problem. This is
the sole “new” issue that we can point a finger at so far.
Another possibility is that a user occasionally puts an entry that contains
a space in the “Name” field. We know that this messes with some archiving
operations, but wondered if this could be part of the problem. This is HARDLY
a new issue, however, so we don’t think it is likely the root of our freezing
problem.
I am currently in the process of scouring logs to see if I can find some pattern,
but I thought I would ask the collective mind if someone has an idea.
