Are these the „two-stepped” caps with two “ring
ribs” on the inside? They close the tube nice and tight and do not
pop off easily, but as far as I know they are still made of PP.

Too expensive to be discarded after single use, but easily cleaned. And after

seems to make our safety people happy.

Do not bring in contact with aluminium
Close filled NMR tubes with PTFE stoppers/ caps
(My comment: PTFE caps effectively stop evaporation over weeks and can be washed and recycled)

Hello All,
Our Health and Safety lab is requiring us to have a specific SOP for using
deuterated methylene chloride as an NMR solvent. We do not use the solvent
very often and probably can live without it but we have a few dozen grams
and it's fairly expensive. I am hesitant (too cheap) to discard it as hazardous
waste.
I am trying to find a template SOP for using it prepare NMR samples so I can
edit for my need. Every example I can find is for usage at higher volumes.
Does anyone have an SOP for methylene chloride that can help me satisfy our
H&S people?
