I share Margaret's interest in a way to monitor overall Bruker usage for manual
operation. I ask users to record their start and stop times in a paper log!
One thing I do, do for the less trustworthy users is to monitor the "audita.txt files"
in each data set. These files monitor key strokes and most important show a unique
signature for the start and stop of each aquisition. A "grep" to a unique string
in the file can pull out each acquisition start and stop for dates of an individual month
from the user's data directory.
Still I'd certainly be interested to know if there is a more general file logging all
console communication - similar to acctLog.xml on the Varians. If somone was interested
in describing Bruker logging I'd certainly be happy for the information.
