We've been having an issue where ICON-NMR will, seemingly at random, start
nominally accepting logins, but the control buttons remain grayed out, and
the box that says "Automation Locked" does not go away as it usually does with
a login.
We don't see this with TS 3.7.0, on another instrument with virtually the same
user group. I have not been able to associate this with any particular user,
or what they do, or don't do; or whether or not they have an ICON password.
The one thing I'm sure is not involved is the operating system—I saw it first
under CentOS 7, still see the same thing with Alma 9 on a new workstation.
Is anyone else seeing this behavior? If so, has anyone found a workaround other
than restarting the software?
