Many thanks to everyone who provided valuable information regarding mounting a JAZ drive on SGI. From those information, we looked into the web site http://www-viz.tamu.edu/~sgi-faq/faq/other/zip-drive.html, and were able to get the JAZ drive going on INDIGO 2. Since we are running IRIX 5.3, it requires the root privileges to mount and umount the JAZ Drive everytime we change the disk. Our Research Computing department has a specialist taking SGI training courses right now. Hopefully, he will come back with more updated information about this root privilege problem. If there is solution for it, I will post it. Thanks again for everyone's help.
