post-doctoral fellowship is available immediately to support on-going
research in fluid mechanics , mechanics of suspensions and emulsions,
and rheology. Work will include basic research in support of the
development of on-line sensors to be used for physical property
measurements of slurries, polymer solutions and melts, and other
complex fluids. A second position is available to work on the
development of space based experiments to study emulsions, suspensions
and granular materials using nuclear magnetic resonance imaging
(NMRI).

A recent Ph.D. with a strong background that includes the use of laser
Doppler anemometers is sought. This individual will be expected to
implement LDA and assist in the design and construction of the
necessary flow systems for the experiments. This work will complement
studies using NMRI to measure velocities in fluids. The successful
applicant will also have the opportunity to learn and work with NMRI.
