Hi all,

Just a minor refinement of Mike's answer — something I learned from Quantum
Design because I also care for a SQUID — instead of a wooden dowel, you can
use a shotgun cleaning rod. It is generally either brass or aluminum, and it
has a plastic eye on the end which works great for threading a kim-wipe through
for cleaning. It also has a T handle on top, which is convenient for holding.
As with the dowel, soak the kim-wipe with your solvent of choice. They turn
out to be a great length for 400-500 MHz magnet, and they are in screwable
sections if you need one for a larger magnet.
