Hi Steve
In a normal fill the helium tower opposite the fill port should ice/frost first.
This indicates normal flow of helium in the magnet. If this doesn't happen you
could have icing.
Trouble with tank pressure can be a sign of icing and/or a bad transfer line.
Long fills can also be a sign of a bad transfer line too. So I would recommend
pumping down the helium transfer line and doing another fill. Or if you have
other magnets you can fill with the transfer line and see how those go. Keep
an eye on boil off to make sure you are exhausting at a normal rate. If
ice were to completely block things you will see it in the boil off or lack
there of.
If you keep up with fill duration's and helium used is there a real difference
or is this just a new person doing a fill on an unfamiliar magnet?
Good luck
Greg
