AMMRL: seeking repair service for Varian SMS robot, or purchase of used SMS

We are quite dependent on SMS robotic sample changers and would have them
serviced/rebuilt by Zymark/Caliper until 2010, when they discontinued
service and support on the old Zymate systems. As far as I know, the only
service that Agilent still provides is to run the alignment software using
an MS-DOS laptop. However, we are having problems with one of our SMS's
that look like hardware issues that are only going to be resolved by
replacing worn out components.

Has anyone used a third party repair service for Zymate robots that they
have been happy with?

Alternatively, does anyone have a surplus SMS robot they believe is
operational and they would be willing to sell? From time to time, I have
seen Zymate II systems on Ebay, accompanied by pictures that suggest they
are either literal or figurative dumpster diving booty. I wasn't very
confident they would be good for anything except stripping for parts. I
was hoping to find one that wouldn't need anything except being aligned on
our magnet.
