you have to consider the type of probes when switching gases. Probes can be
compensated for air for for N2. The oxygen in air changes the susceptibility
quite a bit. Most probes at 400 MHz are air compensated and all probes >=
500MHz are N2 compensated.
Lineshape and resolution specs are no longer guaranteed when using different
gas. You can still get good shims but performance for water suppression might
suffer.
It was already mentioned that if you had been using a cartridge that was
removing oxygen from you house air. Usually a grey cylinder inside or behind
the console then you can remove it after switching to nitrogen.
