Hi Gopal,
The most common cause for this is that you swapped the shim cables. I
believe the A connector in the shim system has a couple of resistors that
are used by the hardware to identify which shim system you've got, and if
you swap the cables the correct resistances aren't found and the shim system
ID is nonsense and the instrument gets mad.
You can also go into the service webpage for the BSMS (use the command ha in
topspin, then click Shim and I believe Shim Configuration after that) and see
what it thinks that the shim system ID is. Sometimes the resistors drift
a bit and the shim system ID just changes from what it should be by a little bit.
If the shim system is close to what it should be (302928 instead of 302927 for
example) you can put the part number of the shim coil in as a substitute identifier.
I would only do this if I had checked that the cables weren't swapped. If they
are swapped, that number comes up as nonsense and you shouldn't use this substitute.

We have AvanceIII Z gradient with topshim and I ran into problems after a cleanup
of lower shim stack to correct sample spin problem. I had to disconnect and
re-connect shim cables during the process.
Now,the system is giving an error that BOSS matrix file could not be loaded.

I tried to go to web interface and tried to manually load the .dat file that was
