Hi Anna,
Thank you for all your help when we decommissioned your magnet at Salk Institute.
We used a dedicate truck transported this magnet to Florida State University. All
O rings were replaced during installation at FSU. We pumped vacuum to 2X10E-6 mbar
(spec is 5X10E-5 mbar) before precooling. The magnet has been ramped to 500.13 MHz
field smoothly without quench. It has been cryo shimmed with a very good cryoline.
It can be directly successfully 3D topshimmed with all RT shims starting as zero
value! The current drifting is 3 Hz/hr which is way below the spec of 10 Hz/hr.
The liquid helium holding time is graet than the spec of 5 months!
Your magnet is now in a good new home with the perfect working condition and
could be operating for another 20 years!
