I've been having some issues with Topshim hanging and basically not doing anything.
This started happening for users using icon nmr. When terminating it the user
got "error in BsmsControl::pushParameters: SPIN : Key is not valid"; which is
the usual message if topshim fails. The spectrometer will lock and tune but when
it tries to shim, outside of Icon, I get an ii status line active error followed
later by a parity error in the LVDS line 5. All the lights on the IPSO are the
way they should, green and one amber for the GAB. So far I've tried resetting
elcb, acquisition rack and rebooting the IPSO, cf and even a hard reset of the console.
I am running Topspin3.5pl7 on CentOS 5. I had recently tried to encourage the ipso
to detect and communicate a computer running Alma 9 so that has probably upset it.
An effort that ultimately failed.
Has anyone ever come across this weird behavior?
