I have recently acquired a new (to us via ebay) triaxial HCN probe for our
Varian Unity Inova console with an Oxford AS600 magnet. When I was testing
this probe, I noticed that the eject air seemed a little low. I placed an
empty tube in the spinner and the spinner was not freely floating at the top.
It didn't drop to the bottom, but it also didn't hover nicely like I am
used to with Bruker magnets.
I have cleaned the probe's air lines with IPA thoroughly and didn't see any
holes that were clogged. I have also cleaned the inside of the probe with
a cotton swab soaked in IPA and it didn't catch on anything, leading me to
believe that the insert is intact.
Since I can't find it listed in the many manuals we have (the list of which
does not include the installation manual for any of the probes or the instrument,
the closest we have is the "Getting Started"), what air pressure should be
used for the eject line?
Thanks,
Emily
