To summarize, select whatever option fits your preferences and as always stay
careful whenever moving things about the magnet. These KF parts aren't large
enough for magnetic susceptibility to matter much. General sentiment seems to
lean towards stainless steel for improved durability, but it's not critical.
Aluminum parts are harder to source and for anyone searching I was recommended
