Hi Luke,
Personally, I like stainless steel more than aluminium, because it
doesn't ding as easily when you drop the part, and it does not get the
same ugly surface corrosion that aluminium sometimes gets. On the other
hand, if you drop a steel part on your toes, it will hurt more than the
same part made from aluminium...
So in short: I have yet to see a functional difference between aluminium
and stainless steel that is specific to helium recovery purposes.
