Dear Wendy,

We regularly have these problems while switching probes on the magnets. The
solution for us is to keep a log of the “gain" values in the MAS III
unit for each probe and give these respective gain values manually when we
start with a new probe in the magnet. (quick how to: “ha’ —>
click MAS III web interface —> service mode (ask Bruker) —> spin
detection or similar —> gain value box —> change value)

For instance out 3.2mm e-free probe likes high gain of about 150’s and
the 1.3mm HX probe loves very low values such as 15-30. These gain values only
work on a consistently marked rotor. For instance the gain value will be different
for a laser marked rotor vs a sharpie marked one at the same probe.

All this info is assuming that you have new bearings in the stator and there
is no hardware problem.

Best of luck and kind regards,

Rıza
