Hi Yolanda
Have you tried a newer version of Codemeter? You can download from here.
https://www.wibu.com/support/user/user-software.html
Also make sure that 255.255.255.255 is not in the basic config. Just have
localhost there.

> Subject: [AMMRL] Serious issue with TopSpin in Alma Linux
Dear All,
A year ago, after a hard-disk crash, we put a new hard-disk in our Z400 (for
an AvanceIIIHD system) and installed Alma Linux 9.2 and Topspin 3.7.0.
All was working fine until several days ago, when we noticed that after
selecting certain tabs/menus in Topspin (mainly the procpar tab), Topspin
closes and acquisition hang. This happens when we select the proctab for
any nmr datafile, old or new.
The error message is:
TopSpin 3.7.0 - Copyright (C) 2023 Bruker BioSpin GmbH
Installation directory: "/opt/topspin3.7.0"
Waiting for CodeMeter license
valid until 2036-01-08 11:43:52 +0100
dbus[20420]: arguments to dbus_message_iter_append_basic() were incorrect,
assertion "_dbus_check_is_valid_utf8 (*string_p)" failed in file
../../dbus/dbus-message.c line 2760.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.
D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace
We have tried several things: creating a new user (clean environment), updating
the graphics card driver, checking the system locale (is LANG=en_US.UTF-8),
installing Topspin 3.8.0, etc., but the error continues to occur. The only
difference from last year's initial installation is that the kernel is now
Alma 9.7 following DNF upgrade.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Yolanda Perez
