The 400MR has no PTS synthesizer, so that’s out of the picture.

Still, other electronic apparatus with separate power supply may be the culprit - for example the PFG/VT unit (you can switch it off and still record spectra) or the Ethernet switch (try to find any 8-channel standard switch which should work just fine).

Might also be the power supply of the nitrogen/helium meter - try to switch it/them off (depending on the age of your system it might be a single unit or two separate ones).

Another potential issue might be a missing ground connection in your 110/230 V wall socket - this can also lead to such ripple on the housing. Try to switch the console off and measure AC voltage via multimeter between the metal case and a “true” ground like metal air tube, central heating/AC or the like.
