X-window remote sessions

Quick question: I use eXodus on Macs to do instructional NMR remotely using
VNMR running on Sun computers. I use MI/X X-server on my Windows 2000
desktop. However, using MI/X on my Windows 2000 notebook, I get a font
complaint and the TCL/DG window won't come up.

It's been suggested that my desktop has some piece of software somewhere
that brought with it a font the tcl/dg needs and that the font is missing
from my notebook computer. In other words, the desktop puter is
"accidentally" successful at displaying VNMR. (I use either XDMCP or other
window management schemes and the font complaint is still there.)

Quick fix?
