Hi Bert,
I changed from X11 to Gnome, it worked well for 5 days, and now I’m
getting the same problem..
I tried to import and enable elrepo, that’s what I get:
sudo rpm --import
https://elrepo.org
error: https://elrepo.org
: key 1 not an armored public key.
My security boot is already disabled.
Thank you for your help.
Warm regards
D.

Hi,
We just had the same issue with an Alma 9.8 installation (not Topspin but
OpenVnmrJ, but that’s not the issue) - even something benign like
resizing a window or opening a web browser crashed the screen.
We successfully did this with
dnf install kmod-nvidia
It may be necessary to enable ELrepo before with something like
sudo rpm --import
https://elrepo.org
sudo dnf install
https://elrepo.org
After that Linux only came up with a black screen only - turned out it is
necessary to disable Secure Boot in BIOS (in our case with AMI BIOS: switch
Secure Boot from „Windows UEFI“ to „Other OS“) -
apparently secure boot prevents the new driver from compiling during
reboot…
Cheers
Bert

HI Denize
We have had similar issues on our systems that use Nvidia drivers. Originally
we were having issues with dependencies so I removed most of the Nvidia
graphics with command:
dnf remove *nvidia* --exclude nvidia-gpu-firmware
This did help with those issue for months. However about a month or so ago
the issues you are describing started on these systems. So just recently I
reinstalled the Nvidia graphics:
dnf install akmod-nvidia
It has been about a week and I have not seen this issue.
You could also just try switching between wayland/X11/gnome and see if
issues go away? This was a suggestion when I googled the problem.
Hope you get it resolved.
