Dear Eugenio,

I have found that these two commands reset the ATMA we, with meaningful output in case it does not work, however if you reset the configuration you will have to save all non-standard nuclei again.

There are a couple of things I would look at:

I would make sure the ATM unit is firmly mounted to the bottom of the probe.  If it can wiggle around a little sometimes you get strange behaviors.  You don't need it to be super tight, but if you reach under the probe and try to wiggle it, it shouldn't really move.

I would probably remove the ATM unit and make sure that none of the tuning rods under the probe are bound in place--if you've got a little screwdriver you can try to move them manually and confirm that they are not jammed to one end or the other.  If they are, try (GENTLY) to disengage them from the stop.  You should be able to rotate them back and forth a little bit to make sure they are not at one end.

You could try the command "atma reset"  This should reset the motor positions and hopefully reinitialize and get things back to a useable state.

Those are the relatively painless things I would try first.

Cheers,
Mike

Hello Everyone,

We have a Bruker Avance Neo with a Prodigy probe.  After a spill with an InsightMR accessory last week, I removed and cleaned the probe and everything seemed to be back to normal.  Thankfully the probe appears to be clean and not damaged.  But after a couple of days of operating, IconNMR gives the error "Some motors are in illegal positions.  Reconnect the ATMA unit to allow automatic resolution."  I detached it and reconnected it and again the ATM unit operated normally for a couple of days.  But now, even after I reconnect it again, it keeps giving the same error.  Any ideas on how so solve this problem?

Thanks!
Eugenio
