Dear Ammrl'rs,
We have an AMX instrument that uses the old X32 computer with Bruker's flavor of UNIX. We would like to try and keep track of the time that a user spends logged onto the console. This seemingly easy task doesn't seem to be able to be performed under that version of UNIX. We've gone through trying some scripts using login files, looked for accounting programs on the system, consulted with Bruker with no luck. They do have utmp and wtmp files, but no program to read them. Does anyone out there keep track of usage automatically using the X32 computer and Bruker's UNIX? If you have a method I'd certainly appreciate you sharing it with us. Thanks so much in advance.
Cheers,
Bob Wollman
