Thanks again to everyone who reached out with potential solutions to this--
in the end, a Bruker scientist logged on remotely and ultimately shut down
the system and restarted it via pdudisp; it seems that this is different
from rebooting the system via pdudisp, which was the first thing I did. This
made the issue go away...
So this had nothing to do with the AU program, or the various settings on
Icon--but it was good know where to check first for future issues.
When asked why the problem may have arisen, he explained that something may
have just gotten hung up because the version of software is quite a few
generations old (Topspin 4.1.4), so we have improved the bugs/functionalities
in the newest versions.
