Hi,

It’s absolutely impossible to natively install Redhat/Centos 5 or 6 on a new, current PC.
In theory you could install it on Virtualbox but as Laird and others wrote correctly,
this is the best opportunity to upgrade to current OpenVnmrJ 3.2 and a new Linux - Alma
Linux 8 should also work (being a bit more similar to Redhat/Centos than Ubuntu).

Cheers
Bert

Hi Mike,

I too can recommend the OpenVnmrJ/Ubuntu upgrade path. I look after several instruments that are
running OVJ on Ubuntu 22LTS or 24LTS and we have no issues.
