Have you looked into RustDesk?
It's open source and free if self-supported, although additional
features and support can be paid for.
Several cryo-EM facilities I know use the self-hosted version over
TeamViewer, AnyDesk or similar...
Splashtop supports CentOS/RHEL according to their support page, Alma
should be compatible (although the future of the various RHEL clones
might be doubtful now that RedHat have changed their policy regarding
source and spec access...?)
