Hi Patrick,
My computer lost connection to the hard drive and reboot by itself from net.
After I changed boot-device to disk (The original setting is disk net) and typed boot,
I got the following error messages:

      Can't open boot device

I have two internal 9-GB disks installed, but probe-ide could not find either one.
I could boot from cdrom and try to reinstall Solaris 7, but disks were not found either.
The cable connection connecting the disks and mother board is tight.
The power supply gives 5V and 12V power supply.

SUN thinks one of the disk is bad, but when I tried to disconnect one disk at a time,
I still could not see the other disk using probe-ide.

What else could go wrong? Any ideas? Your input is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Weixing Zhang, Ph.D.
