Dear colleagues,
I am wondering if anyone has experience running TopSpin on a computer running
Linux, controlling a Neo console where the computer’s network access (Wall Port)
is restricted by IT to a defined set of allowed IP addresses.
My specific concern is TopSpin’s license verification:
Does TopSpin periodically check its license online after initial activation,
or is the license validation handled entirely locally (e.g., via CodeMeter
or a local license server)?
If I upgrade to a newer TopSpin version on the same instrument computer, will
it require access to any external license or activation server, and therefore
need additional IP addresses opened by IT?
Any details about how your site has configured this would be very helpful.
Thanks,
