Hi all,
Just my $0.02--I suspect trying to install topspin 2.1 directly on something
like Alma would end up funneling you into a dependency hell.
I'm pretty sure I've heard of multiple instances where people have gotten it
running on a virtual machine (+1 today) and I suspect that's going to be the
best alternative.

Hi Scott,
We have had some success by running the appropriate version of Linux inside
Oracle’s Virtual Box. I.e. set up a virtual version of Linux running
inside a modern Linux. Both Topspin and Paravision work and can collect data.
I caution that it is a bit clunky. Also it was beyond us to do. We had to
have someone who really knew what they were doing set it up.
Hope this helps!

Since Centos 7 has gone end of life we are trying to migrate Topspin 2.1 to a
new Linux system. Looking for anyone who has gotten this to work. Our spectrometer
is too old to migrate to a newer version of Topspin.
Thanks,
