maybe I am not able to see the true challenge?
If you do not want to quench, you have to discharge the magnet. After
discharging simply let the helium evaporate.
Without refilling nitrogen this will require about one week.
Unfortunately it’s no Magnex magnet. This one you could discharge
by yourself using a simple battery. 😊

Regarding our AstraZeneca helium recovery setup in Gothenburg, we have a bagless
helium recycling system (QT) that has been operational and working well for
about 18 months.
We’re reaching out to community members regarding experience, tips&tricks,
and advice about how much helium you believe we can realistically expect to recover
with the following upcoming scenario:
During this year we will decommission an old Oxford 500 MHz magnet. We will
replace it with a new magnet.
Naturally, we would like to recover as much helium as possible during the
decommissioning and commissioning process, but without risking our existing
systems, nor making the process too arduous for the visiting magnet engineer.
