Announcing the First IVAN Asilomar-conference User Meeting
March 25th, 2017 at the Monterey Marriott Hotel
The IVAN executive committee and MR Resources, are pleased to announce our first IVAN Asilomar-conference user meeting. The meeting will take place on the Saturday before the ENC, on March 25th, 2017 at the Monterey Marriott Hotel, near Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey. All Varian/Agilent owners, PI’s, managers and users are welcome. We hope that you will all join us!
The meeting will begin at 9:00 AM with registration and a continental breakfast. Talks will begin at 10:00 AM and there will be a catered buffet lunch around noon. We will continue talks and discussions until 4:00 pm and follow up with a reception from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
Our agenda will consist of a mixture of practical discussions and invited talks that should touch on all the areas of NMR - Solutions, Solids and Imaging. Look for the final agenda at the IVAN Website

A common purpose for all the discussions and talks is to identify our mutual needs for continuing experimental development and service. What can we do together to be sure our newest experiments can use the best technology? And, of course, this meeting will be a great opportunity to socialize as Varian/Agilent users.
Also, during the Conference, the MR Resources suite, Curlew, will be our IVAN headquarters. MR Resources will keep Curlew open during the day for informal meetings of IVAN members. We may want to follow up ideas from Saturday with further exchange of information. More on that will be announced at the IVAN meeting. Of course, visit Curlew in the evening to socialize.

If you are already an IVAN member, log in to the website and fill out the registration form. If you do not have a login, first click the link to join IVAN and then log in to register. We invite you to join IVAN, even if you do not plan to be at Asilomar this year.
Many of you will be attending other user meetings on Saturday. The Marriott is well-located relative to the other venues and you are encouraged to put the IVAN meeting on your agenda as well. Please preregister, even if your plans are to drop in for a few talks. Nevertheless, onsite IVAN membership and registration will be available and consider- at the very least - dropping by in the afternoon before your dinner plans at the Wharf!
More information will be available in the coming weeks – by email and at the IVAN website. Come and help us plan the future for IVAN and make this first conference meeting a memorable event in the Varian/Agilent tradition!
