Hi TJ,
We've had difficulties with one of our SampleCase as well. The outer shell
does look like it is out of alignment and keeps the white tube from seating
completely. The outer shell can move slightly. If that's not it, also check
that the whole sample case is mounted as far back as possible. Ours is on
an UltraShield magnet, and moved to the edge of the lip that is installed on.
We loosened the set screws, moved it back as far as possible and retightened
the set screws with non-magnetic allen keys (of course!). That solved most
of the problems.

Hello TJ,
First, I don't think your issue has anything to do with the Prodigy probe.
This could happen with any probe.
I can't quite see in the photo: is the sample and spinner are sitting in the
white sample holder, which I think it is called the jack, but the jack simply
hasn't dropped to the carousel?
I think there is a slight misalignment of your carousel. Perhaps someone
bumped into the SampleCase, and that it got very slightly our of alignment.
This happened to us once on one of our SampleCase systems. In our case, it
was the outer shell which had moved. I carefully moved it back into position,
and the SampleCase has been working fine ever since.
Good luck,
Bob.

Hello all--our Prodigy 500 MHz system has recently been having a sporadic
error because the completed sample doesn't drop all the way to the sample
case (please see attached figure).
The problem can occur in manual mode or when running Icon. A simple tap on
the white sample insert drops the sample down to the case, but a restart is
always required to return to normal operation. The problem initially occurred
several times while on manual mode (requiring a full restart of the system),
and just once since then while on Icon, which was resolved by a restart of
just the sample case.
For more context, we have had this sample case since May, and the problem
started ~3 weeks ago. In contrast, the issue has never occurred on our second
500 MHz system which is identical to this one except for having a regular
helium cryo probe.
Has anyone encountered this problem, and perhaps found a remedy? Any advice
would be much appreciated, and as always, many thanks in advance!
TJ.
