Justin,
This is an easy fix. There is an o-ring under the back cylinder that is broken
and needs to be replaced. Remove the three screws on the side and carefully
slide the black cylinder off. The 5 fingers are free to fall off their pivots
since the broken o-ring is not holding them to the arm anymore, so you have
to be careful they do not fall (into the magnet). The new o-ring slides over
the finger and hold them open and in place to the arm.
