Hello,
We have an aging Avance2 400 with a BACS-120 sample changer. Recently
the pincher seems to get fouled up when trying to pick up tubes. When
the "fingers" open they dangle freely. When it moves over the tube
every now and then a finger will get pushed to it closed position. Of
course the changer detects an error and stops. I'm wondering if this
is normal or did something break inside the mechanism. I'm terrified
to try and take it apart. It's mostly working now but the fear is if
I get it apart then it won't ever go back together again. Does anyone
have any experience with it? I'll attach some pics and a video below.
