AMMRL: Track 3 of the MRI proposal - Helium recovery systems

Dear US colleagues,

The NSF MRI has a new Track III for helium recovery system that was part of
the CHIPS Act. Notifications of intent to submit for the February NSF deadline
are due December 14. Also the MRI program has significant changes including,

In response to an updated program solicitation, applicants may apply to Track 1,
which supports proposals that request $100,000 to $1,000,000; Track 2, which
supports proposals that request $1,000,000 to $4,000,000; or Track 3, which
supports proposals that request $100,000 to $4,000,000 and focus on the purchase,
installation, operation, and maintenance of instrumentation to conserve or
reduce helium consumption.

The next MRI application deadline is February 21, 2023.

The MRI allows one submission in Track 3 for each university.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal in response to the February 21,
2023 MRI application deadline, please complete an internal notification
of intent to submit (see instructions below) and indicate the type of proposal
you wish to develop (i.e., Track 1 or Track 3). The limited submission competition
for the November 15, 2023 MRI application deadline will be announced before the
end of spring semester.
