Dear David,
you didn't explicitly mention it but I guess you have a dual-channel PTS D620
synthesizer? Or is it a single-channel PTS620 plus a PTS320 for low-band?
In case you have a dual D620 you can try what Yong-Wah did - swap channels
1&2 (just swap BNC & RJ45 plugs and enter "su" - no need to swap the cards).
PTS have different internal synthesizers for different frequency ranges,
so it may well be that both high- and lowband work fine after a swap.
If you have only one single PTS620 then it is worthwhile replacing the two
large 10,000 uF sieve capacitors which may have dried up, inducing AC ripple
into the electronics and disturbing it sh**less.
Often PTS can be "repaired" like that. If that doesn't help you may need a
replacement PTS (let me know if you can't source one locally, I have these).
Best regards
Bert
